Solar flare activity might threaten GPS

A Cornell University expert on global positioning and satellite systems is warning they will be challenged as solar flare activity rises. Russia And US To Create First Joint Satellite Navigation Venture

The Russian Space Systems corporation and the U.S. Trimble Navigation Group have signed an agreement to create a joint satellite navigation venture in Russia, the Russian company has said.
