Zelensky says convincing West to shoot down Russian missiles and drones

Kyiv, Ukraine (AFP) Oct 3, 2024

Ukraine is trying to convince its Western backers to shoot down Russian missiles and drones fired on Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Thursday.

Speaking alongside new NATO chief Mark Rutte in Kyiv, Zelensky said: "We will continue to convince our partners of the need to shoot down Russian missiles and drones. We realise that this is a difficult decision ... they are not ready yet."
