WPCS International has announced that, through its Max Engineering subsidiary, it has completed a renewable wind energy project that encompasses the construction and installation of a wind turbine for Sherrard Community Unit School District located in Rock Island County, Illinois.

The wind turbine is designed to generate a clean alternative energy source for the school district and is expected to provide a large percentage of the electrical energy required.

The Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation, established to invest in clean energy development and land preservation efforts, supported this project with a grant.

Robert Winterhalter, Senior Vice President for WPCS/Max Engineering, commented, "We are pleased to have been selected to be a part of the renewable wind energy project at Sherrard Community Unit School District. WPCS has established a respectable reputation of providing high quality design-build engineering services for the wind energy market. Our services have expanded to include many facets of wind farm development and construction and we believe our services will remain in demand as our nation continues to emphasize the creation of cost effective alternative energy solutions."
