VAI has announced its integration offering of the UPS Logistics Technologies delivery management suite as an option to its S2K Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software Suite. The UPS Logistics Technologies Roadnet Transportation Suite is designed to increase delivery efficiency and forecasting capabilities and will augment VAI's S2K for Distribution software package to provide distributors with additional optimization resources.

In addition to integration with Roadnet, VAI's S2K for Distribution ERP Software also offers an e-business application, sales analysis tools, financial management and WMS applications. Together, these features allow companies to make knowledgeable decisions that directly affect the bottom line.

The Roadnet application enables VAI distribution clients to generate numerous routing options for maximized fleet investment. In addition, the software is intended to reduce distribution costs and fleet miles while increasing resource utilization, thereby allowing firms to make reliable business and transportation decisions. Roadnet produces daily route plans in seconds, rather than the multiple hours it can take to plan a course manually.

Kevin Beasley, Chief Information Officer, VAI, commented, "UPS Logistics Technologies is internationally recognized for its supply chain expertise and as such, VAI is pleased to add Roadnet to our software line. Roadnet will enhance S2K's unique capabilities, while offering our customers an integrated distribution planning and management solution."

"For VAI, deploying Roadnet into S2K for Distribution provides distributors with streamlined fleet management and increased operations capabilities," said Ken Currie, Alliance Manager, UPS Logistics Technologies. "UPS looks to work with innovative ERP vendors, such as VAI."
