Trina Solar Limited (TSL) has announced that it has recently supplied 10.5MW of photovoltaic modules to Prosolia Energia, a leading company offering energetic services and dedicated to the installation of green energy systems from solar to biomass, for two agricultural projects in the UK.

Large-scale solar systems will be installed in the towns of Stow Longa, Huntingdonshire, and Beaford, Devon, with the capacity to generate 5.3MW and 5.2MW respectively using a total of 43,274 Trina Solar modules.

Jose Maria Delgado, CEO of Prosolia Energia, said: "Trina Solar panels offer excellent efficiency and performance, and the company provides a wide range of solutions and services.

Prosolia Energia has been partnering with Trina Solar for a couple of years now on the development of projects, and we will continue to do so in the future because of the excellent quality of their products and because they have always been reliable suppliers."

Trina Solar's multicrystalline PC05 series modules were chosen because of their 15 per cent efficiency, ability to generate up to 245W, and high performance under low light conditions.

Furthermore, this Trina Solar module - the company's most popular - is able to bear snow loads of up to 5,400Pa and wind loads of up to 2,400Pa. All of Trina Solar's panels come with a 10-year workmanship warranty and a 25-year linear power output warranty.

Ben Hill, President of Trina Solar Europe, said: "This new collaboration with Prosolia Energia is very important to us as it proves once again our wide experience as a solar leader and the reliability of our products and services. The responsible way in which we handle our business and our balance sheet makes us a stable and reliable partner for these kinds of large-scale projects, and we are delighted to be continuing to work with Prosolia Energia."
