Slovakia Looking to Russia for Nuclear Power Plant Modernization

Slovakia is interested in attracting Russian organizations to modernize its national nuclear energy facilities, according to Russian governmental documents released before Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico's meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday.

Russian-Slovakian cooperation in nuclear energy is intensive and the Slovakian government is interested in attracting Russian organizations to modernize the country's national nuclear energy [facilities], including the construction of new nuclear power plant units," the document reads.
