Quantum3D sells ExpeditionDI product line

Quantum3D's ExpeditionDI product line of man-worn simulation solutions for infantry training has been acquired by Intelligent Decisions Inc.

Intelligent Decisions, an integrator of information technology solutions, said the acquisition includes all rights, assets and intellectual property associated with the product line, which it used in the original development of its Dismounted Soldier Training System.

"Procuring the ExpeditionDI platform allows Intelligent Decisions to offer our customers a more comprehensive and immersive training capability by coupling our industry leading simulation solution with a mobile, fully integrated and highly advanced platform for full fidelity infantry simulation and training," said Harry Martin, president and chief executive officer of Intelligent Decisions.

"This acquisition will also allow Intelligent Decisions the flexibility to rapidly expand field solutions tailored to other military branches and law enforcement agencies."

Intelligent Decisions, in announcing the acquisition of the product line said it will be working with distributors around the world for marketing its training system, including Antycip Simulation in Europe.

"Intelligent Decisions is eager to work with worldwide distribution partners like Antycip Simulation to deliver customers in Europe and around the world virtual simulation solutions that are seamlessly deployed and fully compliant with the requirements of the market," Martin said. "ExpeditionDI satisfies these requirements by affording customers a solution that is not only powerful, flexible and highly immersive, but also fully integrated, compact, rugged and highly mobile."

Details of the transaction between Quantum3D and Intelligent Decisions were not disclosed,
