ORBCOMM Nearly Doubles Billable Subscriber Communicators In 2006
Fort Lee NJ (SPX) Jan 08, 2007 ORBCOMM reports that it ended 2006 with about 225,000 billable subscriber communicators on its data communications system, a 99% increase over the Company's subscriber communicator base of 113,000 at the end of 2005. ORBCOMM added approximately 112,000 billable subscriber communicators for the full-year 2006 and approximately 26,000 billable subscriber communicators in the fourth quarter of 2006. The number of fourth-quarter subscriber communicator additions is greater than the range of 19,000 - 25,000 previously forecast by the company.

Amman (AFP) Jan 07, 2007The US military in Iraq has confiscated Saddam Hussein's books as well as notes and poems he wrote in jail to "screen" them before returning them to his lawyers, one of his attorneys said on Sunday. "We asked the Americans to hand us the books the president (Saddam) read in jail as well as the notes and poems he wrote but they want to screen them and read them in full before giving them to us," Jordanian lawyer Issam al-Ghazzawi told AFP. |
