NorthBase strengthens Infostellar StellarStation network with Finnish site

Infostellar Inc. has expanded its StellarStation cloud platform through a new partnership with NorthBase, a Finnish provider of ground station services. The collaboration, formalized under a Memorandum of Understanding, focuses on joint sales and marketing while enabling reciprocal sharing of ground station infrastructure.

StellarStation connects satellite operators to ground stations through a single virtualized interface. Once a mission is configured, operators can access any partner site within the network without additional integration, simplifying global ground station access.

The addition of NorthBase facilities in Finland provides users with a strategic location at 68 degrees north latitude. The Muonio site supports S and X band communications and offers both GSaaS and antenna hosting, supported by robust infrastructure and security measures.

"Partnering with NorthBase adds a very powerful new site to the StellarStation network for the benefit of all our customers," said Infostellar CEO Naomi Kurahara. "At the same time, it strengthens our overall position in Europe, bringing us closer to the clients in the fast-growing European market."

NorthBase chairman Dr. Tommi Rasila added, "Being part of the StellarStation network is a great opportunity for us. Infostellar has clientele in regions where we have not previously been present, and we, in turn, provide Infostellar customers with an exceptionally good location in Northern Europe. You can take my word when I say there is very little interference and lots of room in Finnish Lapland, and the visibility from 68 degrees north is very good."
