Nav N Go, Clear Channel Radio Speed Development Time For Makers Of PNDs

Access to map displays and real-time traffic data just got easier for makers of personal navigation devices (PNDs). Today, innovative software creator Nav N Go and Clear Channel Radio announced that real-time traffic data from CCR's Total Traffic Network (CCTTN) will be integrated into Nav N Go's software moving forward, enabling a turnkey source for the important combination for makers of GPS-equipped PNDs and other devices.

"A large portion of the PND makers we work with use Clear Channel Radio's Total Traffic Network so creating this bundle makes perfect sense," said Attila K�tai, Chief Content Officer of Nav N Go.

Nav N Go Kft. develops usability and navigation software for more than 70 manufacturers of personal navigation devices (PNDs), smartphones, handheld game consoles and in-car navigation systems.

Dynamic and nimble, Nav N Go is known for its rapid response times and a customer list of leading PND manufacturers including Asus Computer GmbH, Clarion Europe GmbH, Pioneer Europe NV, and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

CCTTN supplies real-time traffic data to more than 500,000 paid subscribers. Customers include BMW, MINI USA, Volvo (all of whom offer subscription-free services) as well as device makers ASUS, Garmin, TomTom, Navigon, Mio Technology, Delphi, Kenwood, Clarion, Harmon Kardon, Panasonic, Siemens, and Cobra Electronics, among others.

Navigation devices featuring Nav N Go software will offer CCTTN's real-time traffic data as a free trial for the first 90 days.

Spirent Communications And SGS Advance Assisted GPS Handset Testing

Spirent Communications and SGS Wireless have signed an agreement to provide validation and testing services on the Spirent UMTS Location Test System (ULTS) at the SGS Wireless laboratory in Cambridge, UK. Under this agreement SGS will provide Spirent with validation services to ensure that the Spirent ULTS stays at the cutting edge of Assisted-GPS (A-GPS) testing capability.
