Maxar Intelligence has secured a euro 13.6M ($14.4M) framework contract with the Netherlands Ministry of Defence (MoD) to deliver geospatial solutions over the next four years. This agreement grants the Defence Geographic Agency (DGA) and its users access to Maxar Geospatial Platform (MGP) Pro and a suite of geospatial products.

The contract was awarded through a competitive framework agreement, aiming to enhance the DGA's geospatial data resources and derivative products for mapping, intelligence, and operational support. The collaboration is expected to bolster the MoD's capabilities in various domains.

MGP Pro offers users on-demand access to high-resolution satellite imagery and analytics through a comprehensive platform. The service includes Maxar's extensive 125-petabyte imagery archive spanning 20 years, daily image collections featuring WorldView Legion imagery, satellite tasking capabilities, 3D data access, and AI-driven tools for object detection and change monitoring.

"At a time of increasing geopolitical instability, Maxar is proud of deepening our partnership with the Netherlands Ministry of Defence through mission critical geospatial intelligence capabilities," said Anders Linder, General Manager, International Government at Maxar. "Governments trust the capabilities and security of Maxar's platform to enhance their foundational geospatial data layers and provide timely, mission-critical insights that support requirements across all domains."

Through this subscription, Netherlands MoD users will benefit from access to 3 million square kilometers of daily 30 cm-class resolution imagery and over 6 billion square kilometers of archived imagery at resolutions of up to 30 cm.
