Integral Systems Expands Relationship With Japan's BSS

Integral Systems has announced that Japan's Broadcasting Satellite System Corporation (B-SAT) has selected Integral Systems to deliver a turnkey satellite control system for the BSAT-3b and BSAT-3c satellites, scheduled for launch in 2010 and 2011, respectively.

The EPOCH Integrated Product Suite (IPS) system for the two new satellites will be integrated with the BSAT-3a EPOCH IPS satellite control system, which was provided by Integral under a previous contract.

Under this major new systems contract, Integral Systems will provide two new, fully redundant, integrated satellite control systems for two Lockheed Martin A2100 satellites, which will mark the 16th and 17th Lockheed Martin A2100 satellite supported by the EPOCH IPS system.

The new satellite control systems will leverage Integral Systems' complete EPOCH IPS as well as the Compass software products of its subsidiary, Newpoint Technologies.

Integral Systems' EPOCH IPS provides complete operations capability for real-time command and control of all satellite and ground equipment systems and functions. Newpoint Technologies' Compass suite of products provides network management solutions for data, Internet, satellite, broadcast, telecom, and hybrid network applications.

Under the terms of this contract, Integral Systems will provide hardware, software, and long term system support for B-SAT.

"B-SAT has operated Integral Systems' EPOCH IPS system for BSAT-3a satellite based on A2100 platform since 2007. We value its performance so much that we decided to issue a direct contract for the ground control system for BSAT-3b and -3c satellites. With this operational commonality, B-SAT expects even more effective operations, reduction of total cost and high reliability."

SES NEW SKIES announces that CapRock Communications, a global provider of satellite communications to remote and harsh environments, has contracted 18 MHz of C-Band capacity on the NSS-7 satellite at 338 degrees East. CapRock also renewed an existing contract for 5.8 MHz in Ku-Band on that satellite.
