Impulse Space plans trio of Falcon 9 launches with SpaceX

Impulse Space has entered into an agreement with SpaceX to conduct three launches using Falcon 9 rockets, aimed at advancing the deployment of its Helios and Mira spacecraft.

The first mission, set for mid-2026, will mark the debut of the Helios vehicle. Helios will be loaded with up to 14 tons of liquid methane and liquid oxygen at SpaceX's Florida facilities before integration with Falcon 9.

The rocket's second stage will release Helios and its payloads into Low Earth Orbit (LEO), from where Helios will transfer them to both Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) and Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO). This flight includes the delivery of a Mira vehicle to GTO for the VICTUS SURGO mission. Details for the payloads on subsequent Helios missions are yet to be disclosed.

"Delivering spacecraft to high energy orbits rapidly and economically changes the equation for commercial communication operators and national security missions like VICTUS SURGO."
