FTL Solar Awarded Second NYSERDA Development Grant

FTL Solar, the creator and leading developer of photovoltaic power technologies integrated within lightweight, flexible materials enabling portable, scaleable sources of energy and shelter, has announced that the Company has received a second $250,000 development grant from The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).

The funding will be used to accelerate development of PowerPark, a series of scalable parking structures featuring sustainable energy generation capabilities.

"Receiving the second NYSERDA grant means that the agency has awarded a total of $450,000 to FTL Solar -- and their support has helped accelerate our technology and product development," said Robert Lerner, FTL Solar's Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer.

"The NYSERDA funding, together with the success of our Series A capital-raise, shows a tremendous amount of investor and governmental confidence in FTL Solar's technological innovation and market leadership," said Tony Saxton, CEO of FTL Solar.

"PowerPark and our other products provide FTL Solar clients with structural and power generation solutions that are clean, sustainable and adaptable to every possible environment and mission."

Large PV Systems Installed At Colorado State University-Pueblo

Colorado State University-Pueblo soon will be the home of a solar electric system in excess of one megawatt, one of the largest such systems for an education facility in the United States. Under this innovative arrangement with Black Hills Energy (formerly Aquila) and BP Solar, the system is estimated to contribute more than 10 percent of the University's electricity needs.
