Envision Solar International has successfully completed the design, engineering and installation of a 300-kilowatt shaded parking solar array for Morrow Meadows in Arizona. The array will provide shaded parking for the tenants of a commercial property while generating clean, renewable solar energy. The parking structure will reduce the electricity bill while creating a hedge against future energy cost increases.

Envision Solar Founder Robert Noble said, "Our company has long been recognized as the leading inventor and project developer of solar parking array systems. We have projects installed throughout the U.S., including Dell Computer Headquarters in Round Rock, Texas and the National Renewable Energy Labs in Golden, Colo. Together with Morrow Meadows, we have completed an installation which generates 300 Kilowatts of clean energy output, while still providing a much-needed amenity-shade for cars and people and an architecturally beautiful enhancement to the neighborhood."

Desmond Wheatley, Envision Solar president, said, "Our on-time, on-budget completion of this project is a strong validation of our ability to operate anywhere in the country. Our business model relies on our capability of scaling our offering globally, which means that we have to be able to effectively export our expertise and products. This successful project completion proves again that we can do that. We look forward to doing many more such projects with Morrow Meadows under the Master Services Agreement we signed late last year."

Under the terms of the agreement, Envision Solar is responsible for the solar master planning, design and development of solar projects and the supply of its ParkSolar? designs using Solar Tree and Solar Grove products, as well as CleanCharge and EnvisionTrak technology to enhance energy yield and reduce total cost of ownership for the project.

Morrow Meadows provides full-service electrical, engineering and contracting services as well as bringing a significant install base and customer prospect list to the relationship.

Morrow-Meadows Business Development Director Jim Laehy added, "This was our first full turn-key project with Envision Solar, and we are delighted with the results. As we continue to grow our pipeline of solar projects we look forward to working with the company again. Morrow Meadows is very proud of its ability to continuously deliver excellence to our customers and working with Envision Solar gives us one more tool to facilitate that commitment."
