Elbit Systems supplying C4ISR solution to unidentified navy
by Richard Tomkins
Washington (UPI) Sep 6, 2017

An unidentified navy in the Asia-Pacific region is to receive an integrated C4ISR system from Elbit Systems Ltd of Israel.

The contract to be performed over two years carries a value of $11 million, Elbit said.

C4ISR is the acronym for command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance.

The C4ISR solution to be supplied includes interconnected coastal sensor towers, naval command centers and maritime C4I capabilities. Maintenance services will also be delivered by the Israeli company.

"As a leading C4ISR company, we were able to provide the customer with a complete situational awareness and networked real-time solution, integrating radar, electro-optic systems, radio and communications systems," Yehuda Vered, general manager of Elbit Systems Land & C4I, said in a press release. "We witness a growing demand from coastal agencies and navies that are required to secure ports, dams, harbors and waterways while encountering terrorism, illegal immigration, enemy operations and a high volume of vessels and passengers traveling at sea."
