BlueHalo announced its selection as one of 10 vendors to deliver unclassified commercial GEOINT-derived computer vision and analytic capabilities for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This five-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, known as Luno A, follows the $290 million Economic Indicator Monitoring contract.

The Luno A contract enhances analytic workflows by incorporating machine learning, artificial intelligence, and commercially acquired geospatial data. These capabilities provide critical assessments of worldwide economic, environmental, and military activities.

"BlueHalo is proud to expand our support to NGA as one of the vendors selected to the Luno A contract," said Brian Morrison, BlueHalo Portfolio President and Corporate Executive Vice President. "Our mature intel capabilities - ranging from signals intelligence to open-source threat intelligence - coupled with our deep expertise in utilizing machine learning and artificial intelligence in an era of big data, make BlueHalo an ideal partner for NGA as they work to pull actionable intelligence from a deluge of unclassified data."

The contract enables contractors to access commercial marketplace data and source imagery not already acquired by NGA, the National Reconnaissance Office, or other U.S. Government entities. This approach expands the NGA's ability to monitor infrastructure at continental and global scales, conduct surveys at country-level for targeted activity, analyze city-sized areas for infrastructure changes, and track equipment and objects at installations with frequent updates.
