San Diego (SPX) May 27, 2004
US Xpress Enterprises, Inc., an expedited truckload service provider, has extended its contract with Qualcomm to deploy the OmniTRACS mobile communications system to its trucking fleet.

The carrier has also joined Qualcomm's untethered trailer- tracking Product Direction Council, a group recently formed under the Qualcomm Consortium to help provide feedback to Qualcomm about product features for the new untethered trailer tracking system.

"We have renewed our business relationship with Qualcomm, and look forward to taking an active role in the development of fleet management solutions," said Max Fuller, co-chairman and chief operating officer of U.S. Xpress Enterprises.

"We are pleased with U.S. Xpress' extension and look forward to their input as we develop and deploy new solutions and services," said Chris Wolfe, president of Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions.
