Orbit International Mobile Key Panel Receivers

Orbit International has announced that it has received a contract valued in excess of $1,000,000 for the production of its mobile key panel receivers in support of the Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) program. Deliveries are expected to commence in the current quarter and continue through the final quarter of 2006. The key panel receivers will be manufactured at the Company's Quakertown, Pa. facility.

The DAGR key panel receiver, initially designed to support Operation Desert Storm, is the latest configuration of GPS receivers that Orbit's Quakertown, Pa. facility has been manufacturing since 1991. DAGR, the fourth generation GPS receiver, provides battlefield operators with real time position, velocity, navigation, and timing (PVNT) information in a stand alone, hand-held, lightweight configuration.

The DAGR key panel receiver equips U.S. troops, as well as coalition partners, with a hand-held, dual frequency, Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing (SAASM) GPS device. This provides our armed forces with an exceptional tool for making critical, informed decisions using real time data during battlefield conditions.

Richard Hetherington, Chief Operating Officer of the Company's Quakertown facility commented, "The new DAGR key panel receiver is the successor to the prior PLUGR configuration that we began supplying to our customer in 1991 during Operation Desert Storm. These units have been battlefield tested in both the Iraqi and Afghan campaigns, and a multi-year production plan is being contemplated to meet increased program requirements.

Since the DAGR GPS receivers currently support 10 U.S. procurement agencies, as well as 31 foreign customers, the magnitude of the potential follow-on production work could be quite significant as this upgrade is adopted and implemented over the next five years."

The new GPS hand-held device is specifically designed to replace legacy equipment still in field service.
