2-Track Global Announce The Launch Of Starfish Express

New York (SPX) Oct 21, 2005
2-Track Global has announced it had launched its new and latest product, the Starfish Express, to supplement the existing Starfish products.

Starfish is a web-based commercial vessel and leisure yacht tracking system which has additional functionality as a ship security alert system (SSAS) and e-mail messaging through low-earth orbit satellite.

Most e-mails are currently sent through laptops or notebooks, however the new Starfish Express is specifically designed for the PDA which is far easier to use and carry whilst at sea.

Mike Jung, President of 2-Track Global, commented "The Starfish Express for the PDA has three major functions. Firstly it enables you to send and receive e-mails via satellite onto your PDA facilitating greater management, access and monitoring; secondly it enables GPS data to be provided for sailing, such as longitude, latitude, heading, lead times and other important information; and thirdly it monitors the status of the satellite connection with specific reference to the external power connection and the battery power.

We intend to add to the Starfish Express functionality by adding a navigation function which will enable access to marine charts on the PDA. I believe this will revolutionise navigation charts and usage whilst at sea".

2-Track Global is a technology development and marketing company which owns, operates and licences proprietary telematics solutions combining hardware and software applications run over wireless or satellite networks to deliver remote security management of marine and cargo fleets (including consumer solutions aimed at the leisure, marine and domestic security markets) and commercial vehicle plant and machinery management and security.

The company has communications architecture technology which provides global logistics solutions for the remote monitoring of freight containers over multiple transport mores.
