Solar eruption heading toward Earth

A coronal mass ejection from the sun is headed toward the Earth after erupting Wednesday morning and should arrive here in one to three days, NASA reported. Observations from the Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory and ESA/NASA's Solar and Heliospheric Observatory, operated by NASA and the European Space Agency, show the CME left the sun at speeds of around 375 miles per second, a fairly typical speed for such ejections, the space agency said Thursday.
