GSAT-10 is a success but ISRO needs to advance its Launch CapabilitiesNew Delhi, India (SPX) Oct 04, 2012 India's GSAT-10 Communication Satellite was launched successfully on September 29, 2012 by the Ariane-5 vehicle from French Guiana. This 3400 kg satellite has been the heaviest Indian satellite that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has built so far. Expected to become fully operational by November 2012, the satellite has a life cycle of fifteen years.
